Privacy policy

Good Mail is a personal, single-user email assistant operated by Alexander Prokhorov. This policy explains how it handles data from the owner's Google account.

Access and purpose

Good Mail requests gmail.readonly to search and read email, including message bodies, headers, and attachments when needed for an owner-requested task. It requests gmail.compose to create and review drafts and to send a message only after the owner explicitly approves that message. It does not request permission to permanently delete Gmail messages or change account settings.

Processing and sharing

The application processes selected email data on the owner's private server. To answer requests or prepare drafts, selected message content may be sent to the configured AI model service, currently OpenAI. Mail is sent to recipients only when the owner approves the exact message. Good Mail does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models.

Storage and retention

OAuth credentials are stored in an encrypted local password store. Drafts, review images, attachments, operation records, and selected email content may be stored in private files or assistant session records on the owner's server. These records have no automatic deletion period; the owner controls their removal. Messages and drafts in Gmail remain subject to the owner's Gmail settings and actions.

Control and deletion

The owner can revoke Good Mail's Google access from Google Account connections. Revocation stops future access but does not automatically remove local records already created. To request removal of local records or ask about this policy, contact aaleexxanderr@gmail.com.

Google user data

Good Mail's use of information received from Google Workspace APIs adheres to the Google Workspace user data and developer policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Changes

This policy will be updated before Good Mail uses Google data for a materially new purpose. The current version is available at this URL.
